CMHC’s Seed Funding Webinar
Registration is now closed. For more information contact email@example.com
Please join our FREE webinar on January 31, 2019, hosted by BCNPHA and presented by Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation.
Seed Funding supports affordable housing through grants and interest-free loans. This funding through Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is available for pre-construction “soft-costs” towards both new construction and renovations to help preserve existing community housing projects.
Why should you attend?
In September 2018, the program was redesigned, with a wider scope to assist projects that are considering applying for other funding initiatives under the National Housing Strategy. This webinar will clarify the changes, bust some myths, and offer tips for a smoother application process.
Who should attend?
Any non-profit housing provider exploring a new development or renovation. While Seed Funding will be the focus, other funding and financing opportunities will also be highlighted, including information on CMHC’s Co-Investment Fund.
Lance Jakubec has been with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) since 1999, promoting technical, financial and policy solutions to enhance the sustainability, accessibility, and affordability of housing. He works directly with developers, builders, lenders, municipalities and non-profit housing providers on financing and funding opportunities. Originally from Kelowna, Lance started with CMHC in Ontario before returning to BC in 2005.
Marcia Jean-Baptiste has recently joined CMHC’s Affordable Housing team after 13 years in Client Relations with CMHC’s Insurance Sector. Marcia works with developers, builders, lenders, municipalities and non-profit housing providers in the BC region in an effort to support their affordable housing projects.
