BCNPHA understands that the current public health emergency due to COVID-19 is presenting unprecedented challenges to the non-profit housing sector. While you are focusing on supporting your tenants, clients, staff, and communities, BCNPHA is working with our partners to ensure that the non-profit housing sector has access to the types of supports and resources needed to continue to operate in the best way possible as we weather this storm.
1) COVID-19 Sector Survey
To advocate effectively for supports and resources, and to be responsive to the needs of the non-profit housing sector, BCNPHA would like to find out more about the issues your organization is grappling with by completing a short survey. Please click here to fill in the survey by March 26, 2020 at 11:59 pm.
2) FREE Webinar: Housing, Homelessness and Health amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic – Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 10:00 am
BCNPHA and AHMA know that non-profit housing providers have questions about how to support residents, clients and staff through the COVID-19 pandemic. We have partnered to host a FREE webinar to provide up-to-date housing and health information, and to give you an opportunity to ask questions in real-time during this unfolding crisis.
Angela Cooke, VP Operations, and Dominic Flanagan, Executive Director, Strategic Advisor on Homelessness at BC Housing will provide information on how BC Housing is responding to the crisis, and the support and coordination you can expect in the days and weeks ahead. Dr. Gurdeep Parhar, Clinical Professor at UBC and Medical Director at Pacific Coast Recovery Care, will present strategies to assist non-profit housing providers in keeping residents, clients and staff health and safe.
The webinar is designed to provide sufficient time for questions from attendees, which will help all partners better understand the issues that non-profits are struggling to address.
