Sofia Marmolejo, Energy Efficiency Engineer
FRESCo
Sofia is a registered mechatronics Professional Engineer (P. Eng), with a holistic background in mechanical, electrical and controls systems. Her experience has led her to gain technical expertise through the design and project management in a wide range of building types. Sofia has a particular specialty in social housing and is actively involved in numerous projects with housing societies throughout BC.
Sofia is passionate about fighting climate change by reducing building’s greenhouse gas emissions. Her current role in energy efficiency allows her to work closely with building owners and managers to help them improve their triple bottom line: people, planet and profit. She also likes to give back to the industry by volunteering for local groups such as the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), BC Sustainable Energy Association (BCSEA) and the Division for the Advancement of Women in Engineering (DAWEG)
