2024 Award Recipient: Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society

Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society was founded in 1985, becoming one of the first women-led non-profit housing societies in Canada designed to meet the needs of single parent families. The French name, meaning “amongst us women,” speaks to the organization’s non-hierarchical philosophy and its mission to create something new and unique. ENFSH provides affordable housing for families and seniors in 13 buildings in Burnaby, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Vancouver, and Surrey. The organization provides a mix of 1 to 5 bedrooms, wheelchair-accessible units, and seniors-only homes. Entre Nous Femmes has been working with BCNPHA Asset Management Department on energy retrofits since 2012.
