Social Housing Management Certificate

OFFERED BY

Langara College

Individuals interested in pursuing post-secondary education in non-profit housing can complete the Social Housing Management Certificate from Langara College.

This self-paced, part-time program was developed via a partnership between Langara and BCNPHA. It is designed for staff, managers, and volunteers engaged in social housing operations or development. The certificate includes five required courses:

  • Social and Affordable Housing in BC
  • Social Housing Management
  • Negotiation and Dispute Resolution
  • Financial Skills for Managers
  • Business Communications

Note: This program is approved for the September 2026 round of StrongerBC Future Skills grant funding. Eligible BC students can get up to $3,500 lifetime funding for eligible programs. As the Social Housing Management program is less than this amount, eligible students can get the program (plus any textbooks) for free if they begin in September 2026 and finish within 1 year (Sep 2026 to Aug 2027 studies).

Seats are limited for the funding and are available for a limited time.
