BCNPHA conducts a wide variety of surveys across the sector to learn about the challenges and issues that affordable housing providers are facing across BC.
Inclusive Housing Survey 2019 This 2019 resource highlights a partnership between BCNPHA and Community Living BC to better understand the housing needs, preferences, and demand among adults with developmental disabilities living in British Columbia. The survey was designed to inform planning for more affordable, accessible, and inclusive housing options across the province.
The findings were intended to support discussions with decision-makers and provide evidence to assist Community Living BC, Inclusion BC, service providers, self-advocacy and family organizations, housing providers, developers, and local governments in making informed decisions about housing and service provision for individuals with developmental disabilities. The survey offers a snapshot of housing needs and priorities identified at that time.
