National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2025

September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day. It’s a day to remember the children who didn’t come home from residential schools and to honor the Survivors, their loved ones, and communities. In observance of this significant day, BCNPHA will be closing its office.

As an organization focused on advocacy and education, BCNPHA is deeply dedicated to the path of reconciliation. We encourage our employees and others to participate in local events, wear orange, and take time for personal reflection and learning.

If you are a Survivor and need assistance, the National Indian Residential School Crisis Line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1–866-925-4419.
