Every year, we ask those connected to the non-profit housing sector to consider applying to present at the Housing Central Conference. These proposals range widely in topic, but generally relate to the leadership, operations, and maintenance of non-profit housing organizations and buildings, as well as other issues relevant to the affordable housing sector.
Many presenters work in the non-profit housing sector and share expertise they have gained through hands-on experience or research. Other presenters are brought in to share their expertise from other fields. We encourage session proposals from across a range of sectors, including non-profits, government, academia and the private sector.
Across all topic areas, we especially value perspectives of people with lived experience. Including tenants in conversations about tenant relocation or community building between tenants in social housing is a prime example. This applies across the board to many of the topics that we feature in our learning events, and as such, we view proposals that feature people with lived experience highly.
The deadline for submissions is April 12.
This year, we are also accepting proposals for off-site housing tours. If you have a unique, successful, or otherwise interesting housing model you’d like to share with a small group of delegates, please fill out the corresponding survey below.
