1993 BCNPHA Beginnings

It starts with a vision to connect non-profit housing providers across British Columbia. We kick it off with our first annual conference.

1998 Supporting Members

With membership growing, BCNPHA develops programs to help members save money and support the sector.

2000 Sector Education

Our new education department launches industry-leading professional development that continues to strengthen the sector today.

2007-2009 Research & Advocacy

A new research team solidifies BCNPHA as the voice and advocate of BC non-profit housing.

Investments in energy conservation and a newly established asset management team support sector energy efficiency targets.

2014 Education Expansion

Newly launched education offerings include Housing-U and Regional Education, Networking & Tradeshow (RENT) events.

2015-2017 Research Matters

The Canadian Rental Housing Index and BC Affordable Housing Plan’s combined 10-year roadmap to end the affordable housing crisis marks a milestone for BCNPHA research.

2017 Reaching New Heights

We celebrate our 25th — and largest — Housing Central Conference, welcoming 1,300 delegates and a new era for affordable housing.

2020 Stay Safe, and Innovate

The pandemic changes how we connect. BCNPHA innovates resource and support delivery and moves events online.

2025 Looking Ahead

A new website and Communities Forum to improve online experience and bolster networking. A refreshed strategic plan ushering a new era of support and advocacy for BC non-profit housing.
