The annual Housing Central Conference, delivered in partnership with the Aboriginal Housing Management Association and the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC, is Canada’s leading professional development event for the community housing sector.

Each year offers an exciting new mix of keynote speakers, education sessions, tradeshow exhibitors and special events designed to bring the sector together for three days of sharing knowledge, ideas, and strategies for success.

Over the course of three days, keynote speakers deliver informative and often profoundly moving talks about their professional expertise and personal experiences of affordable housing, challenges with mental health and/or drug use, residential schools, reconciliation, inclusive housing, and much more. Delegates participate in a broad spectrum of education sessions that are custom designed each year to address a variety of issues and needs, ranging from board governance to new construction and redevelopments, pandemic and emergency planning, the drug poisoning crisis, youth leaving care, Indigenous housing, community living, seniors’ housing and a variety of asset management topics.

Each conference is as unique and diverse as the sector itself, and the mix of keynote and education session topics and speakers aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for delegates and stakeholders.
