QMUNITY: 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusivity Workshop

QMUNITY’s education program delivers nonjudgmental experiential training and workshops for individuals, service providers, and organizations that want help making their organizations more inclusive for all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Through this program, you’ll embark on a journey to engage with the complexities of gender, sexuality, intersectionality, implicit bias, and conflict resolution at a comfortable pace. Designed as a “queer learning circle” for a larger number of participants, this workshop is built so
as to engage participants through deeper discussions.

Workshop Prerequisites: After registering for this workshop, registrants will be invited to complete an online learning module “Foundations of 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusivity”. This workshop will take approximately 1 – 2 hours, and require access to the internet. This online module offers participants the opportunity to acquire a baseline understanding of 2SLGBTQIA+ language and notions to prepare you for a dynamic learning experience that encourages reflection on the “norms” our society prescribes us.

What you will learn:

  • Increasing understanding of diverse sexualities, genders and the intersectionality that exists among them
  • Transforming actions and attitudes within your workplace and community
  • conflict transformation related to sexuality and gender (e.g. misgendering)
  • explore the basics of bystander intervention, implicit bias, and the importance of representation through a queer-focused but intersectional lens

Who should attend:

Workshop is open to anyone in the sector!
