Program Description

An Overview

Deep energy retrofits take a holistic approach to building system upgrades to greatly reduce GHG emissions and energy use.

A lot of these upgrades can be costly undertakings without an easy simple payback, but buildings with poor energy performance that are due for renewal may be good contenders for these types of retrofits, as well as funding programs. Come learn more about how to get started on deep energy retrofits and hear how one society is taking a portfolio-wide approach to significantly lower its GHG emissions and energy use while improving comfort in their tenants’ homes.

Who Should Attend?

  • Property and asset managers
  • Executives and Board Members of Non-Profit Housing Societies
  • Co-ops looking for more information on deep energy retrofits

What Will You Learn?

  • Recognize the components of a Deep Energy Retrofit
  • Identify the process and steps required to plan and carry out a deep energy retrofit
  • Relate to an example society and their consultant as they describe the retrofit planning process
  • Take the first steps in planning a deep energy retrofit for your own building(s) (regardless of how long it may be before you pursue a project)
