Indigenous Perspectives Society: Centre of Excellence in Community Education (IPS) offers Recruitment and Retention of Indigenous Peoples for all audiences. This 3.5 hour workshop provides an overview of best practices for recruiting and retaining Indigenous employees.
Workshop attendees will cover all aspects of the hiring and retention process through a lens of cultural safety, as well as learning about barriers in the process for Indigenous employees. Attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on their own hiring and recruitment practices, and develop calls to action and strategies for improving systems and processes.

Rachelle has extensive front line service experience that informs her leadership from her early work with at risk communities including women in the sex trade, high risk youth, the judicial system, and the homeless community
