The Modern Construction Methods Webinar Series will showcase construction approaches that are already being used or have strong potential for use in the non-profit housing sector. The goal of the series is to equip providers with potential ideas to build and renew affordable housing faster as well as more sustainable, climate resilient, and cost-effective. Each webinar will pair an industry expert presentation with a non-profit case study to highlight different Modern Methods of Construction and explore the successes, challenges, and lessons learned for each method in the context of the non-profit housing sector. The series is intended to introduce modern methods of construction rather than promote any specific approach. Participants will need to conduct additional investigation to determine whether a particular method is appropriate for their projects and organizational context.
Innovative Capital to Fund New Construction and Renewals
Join us for another session in the Modern Methods of Construction series: Innovative Capital to Fund New Construction and Renewals.
This webinar explores emerging capital models that help non‑profit housing providers fund new construction and major renewals. Participants will learn how partnership‑based financing such as private/non‑profit collaborations can unlock new development opportunities and make complex projects financially viable. Real‑world examples will highlight how innovative funding approaches are being used to deliver new affordable homes.
About Urban Matters:
At Urban Matters, we are conveners, facilitators, and listeners. We are a collaborative consulting group dedicated to tackling complex social issues through innovative and sustainable solutions. With a focus on systems change, we go beyond conventional approaches, striving to be the go-to partner for organizations seeking transformative solutions that challenge the status quo.
We contribute a significant portion of our profits back to communities each year. Rather than making donations, we support initiatives that address gaps in social systems and empower communities to lead their own change efforts. Since 2016, we have contributed more than $1.5 million back to communities.
