Program Description

An Overview

Please note that this event is hosted IN PERSON, in Prince George BC. An online option for this training is also available on May 26.

Join us for the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Essentials course, offered in collaboration with Opening Minds and the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

This full-day IN PERSON session (8:30-3:30 PM PST) will teach participants how to recognize signs of declining mental well-being and how to provide essential support during a mental health crisis using MHFA actions. Through interactive activities in a virtual classroom, you’ll develop practical skills to assist those in need.

  • Early registration is encouraged as capacity for this session is limited to 24 participants.
  • The deadline to register is June 5th at 12pm PST.
  • BCNPHA members receive a special discount of $80!
  • A light lunch will be provided for participants at the venue

What You Will learn

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
