Program Description

An Overview

Housing Agreements are becoming a common legal tool used to control many aspects of housing development.

They are a way to ensure affordability, identify priority tenants and protect housing in the long term; however, they can also have unintended consequences. Come learn about what housing agreements are, what they control and why municipalities use them.

What You Will Learn

This session will provide a legal overview, an outline of the helpful Guide to Housing Agreements and provide time for Q&A. The facilitators will outline what to look for, what questions to ask and when to ask them.

Who Should Attend?

This session is geared towards non-profit housing providers
