Join Susan Lucato, CPA, CGA, for an exclusive seminar tailored to NPO Leaders aiming to understand charitable tax receipts processes.
As a charity, you are responsible for ensuring properly receipted donations to your organization. It’s important that your fundraising team understands what types of gifts qualify for a tax receipt and how to communicate with donors about gifting rules. It’s important that your finance team understands how various types of gift receipts must be prepared to comply with CRA regulations. This seminar will discuss different types of donations, how they are receipted, and provide practical and actionable processes you can employ in your organization.

Susan is a CPA with extensive experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. During her fourteen-year tenure at Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants, Susan played a crucial role in developing small business advisory services and overseeing audits for local charitable organizations. In 2002, she assumed the role of Finance Director at the Victoria Foundation, contributing significantly to its growth and prominence within the Canadian charitable community. Susan’s expertise in financial oversight and her involvement in the community foundation movement, particularly in working with BC’s First Nations groups, have left a lasting impact.
