2025 Housing Provider of the Year: Innovation

Connective.

Connective is a team of 1,000+ operating more than 60 programs and 750 housing units across six regions in B.C.

Connective has safeguarded affordable homes through the Rental Protection Fund, launched a Rapid Deployment program to address service gaps and partnered with Aboriginal Housing Management Association to enhance relationship-building in Indigenous communities.

Purpose

Recognition is important.

This award recognizes a non-profit housing provider that demonstrates resilience in the face of a major challenge to their operations or developments.

Eligibility

How to get nominated.

The organization must be a BCNPHA non-profit housing member in good standing.
The committee will notify the recipient by September 2026.

Award Criteria

How does an organization qualify?

Applications will be scored in the following areas:

Develop and implement a strong and sustained response to an internal or external challenge.

Ensured that its residents were supported through a challenge or crisis, and has engaged residents in meaningful ways through its crisis response.

Develop and/or update business continuity plans in light of their experiences sustaining services through a crisis.

I wish our communities weren’t needing as much as their needing right now but I’m also excited to be part of a team that continues to rise to that occasion, finding unique ways to deliver more services to more people.
