Have you seen the need for more affordable housing options in your community? Do you have an idea, a building site and the commitment of your Board but not sure what’s next or how to get started?
If you are considering building affordable housing in your community, Ready, Set, Build! (RSB!) is for you. RSB! is a flexible course that will walk you through the development process.
BCNPHA has been successfully delivering RSB! for several years and has helped numerous non-profit housing providers with their building projects.
How does it work? It’s simple!
Step 1) Register online for Ready, Set, Build! in the region where you would like to take the face-to-face session. We offer these sessions at BCNPHA educational events throughout the year.
Step 2) Once you register for RSB!, we’ll email you course specific details including important dates and how to log into HousingU, BCNPHA’s online learning management system. We recommend you spend 3 to 6 hours online before the face-to-face session familiarizing yourself with the first three online topics.
Step 3) Attend the one-day face-to-face session that takes place at BCNPHA’s annual conference, RENT event or other locations. Here you’ll meet your facilitator and co-learners and actively apply what you’ve learned online while preparing for topics to come.
Step 4) After the face-to-face session you can continue through the remainder of the content. After completing the course you’ll retain access to the online resources, your colleagues and facilitator in the course area, as part of a sector-wide community of practice.
RSB! is sponsored by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation
