This module is designed to get you thinking about the structure of your board and how you conduct board business. Participants will explore a practical framework to help you understand how your board is organized, common bylaw questions, position descriptions and terms of office, administrative support, and more. By the end of the course, participants will be in a stronger position to answer board structure questions, whether the information is written in their society’s bylaws, in policies or manuals, or in a set of accepted – but unwritten – practices. This course only addresses non-profit society frameworks, but is not limited to housing societies.
