Funding Your Energy Retrofit

To get started on an energy retrofit, non-profit housing providers often need an engineer’s report to identify possible measures, costs and savings. Funding for these reports can be a real barrier. Fortunately, the Social Housing Retrofit Support Program (SHRSP), through BC Hydro and Fortis BC, and the Social Housing Incentive Program (SHIP) through the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines, changes that.

Hear about benefits of working with a professional engineer on an energy study along with engineering design and implementation support – elements now eligible for funding for the first time. Join us to discuss these opportunities and have your questions answered.

Jackie Kanyuk is an Asset Management Coordinator for BCNPHA where she supports societies with energy audits and accessing funding and expertise for retrofits.
