W02 – Mixed Income, Transit-Oriented Rental Housing
Housing and transportation costs combined are a good indicator of overall affordability. While transit locations are attractive for new condominiums, it is important that the workforce, with a range of incomes, is able to afford to live in these locations, for sake of the regional economy and to share the benefits of transit. With major transit expansion planned over the next decade, Metro Vancouver and partners BCNPHA, BC Housing, Translink and Vancity are conducting research to help address these concerns.
