Art at the 2017 Housing Central ConferencePosted
The Art Cart will be at the art exhibition.
Get inspired at the 2017 Housing Central Conference!
This year’s conference will feature an art exhibition on Tuesday, November 21. The exhibition will include art about housing-related issues, homelessness, mental health, addictions, resilience and healing, created both by professional artists and by people who live in non-profit housing or access social services.
The art exhibition inside the main conference ballroom will be dedicated to art displays from member organizations. A “market place” for artists and organizations demonstrating work in progress or selling art work will be set up in the ballroom foyer to allow more conversation and interaction without disturbing conference proceedings.
Call for art
Does your society encourage residents or clients to create art? BCNPHA invites you to organize a display of original artwork to hang in our exhibition area. Bring an artist or two to the conference to talk to conference delegates about their work, or ship the work to the conference and we’ll help you display it.
Are you an artist whose work relates to housing or homelessness issues? We would love to hear from you!
The exhibition is curated by Robi Smith, a professional artist with extensive experience working with BCNPHA and its members.
