We would like to inform you that the Vancouver Island RENT event in Nanaimo, scheduled for April 16 and 17 and the Lower Mainland RENT event in New Westminster, scheduled for May 14, have been cancelled due to precautions surrounding COVID-19 / Coronavirus. We are working with our partners to explore opportunities for a virtual RENT event, about which we will share more information with you shortly. 

Each year, BCNPHA hosts four Regional Education, Networking & Tradeshow events in each of our four regions: Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, the North and the Interior.

The RENT events offer:

  • Housing education and professional development with key thought leaders and hands-on learning
  • Tradeshow featuring products and services to help societies operate more efficiently and better serve their tenants
  • Networking with non-profit housing societies, companies serving the sector, and government representatives
  • In-depth exploration of local and regional issues, including housing tours and engaging discussions

We are proud to partner with the Homelessness Services Association of BC to deliver sessions in the Operations stream, designed for staff who work with people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

A diverse mix of sessions is also offered in the Leadership and Asset Management streams.

BCNPHA is proud to announce that in partnership with BC Housing will also offer a free second day of technology education sessions at Vancouver Island RENT.The day will be filled with engaging and hands on trainings, including IT Management 101, Cyber Security (Social Engineering and Cyber Incidents Best Practices), Microsoft Office 365 Implementation, Microsoft Office Productivity, Non Profit Portal, Housing Registry and HIFIS (Homeless Individuals and Families Information System).
